Project details

What we need
  • Up to 3 customized and professionally designed graphic(s)
Additional details

We're looking for help with collateral for a spring marketing campaign encouraging prospective new listeners to give the station a try. These material would be used on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, our website, and in our e-blasts.

What we have in place
  • We currently have logos and examples of past materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a clearly defined campaign, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to pay six months of rooftop rent for our broadcast antenna.

CHIRP relies on listener support for more than half of its budget. A successful year-end fundraising campaign ensures the station is well set-up heading into the new year, especially when the future of fundraising events (another traditionally important budget source) remains uncertain due to the pandemic.

Our mission

The Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP) is a volunteer driven, listener-supported radio station built and run by independent-minded music and arts fans. CHIRP is always live and local, connecting Chicago's diverse creative communities through its programming and events.

What we do

CHIRP is a volunteer-driven community radio station broadcasting at 107.1FM on the North Side of Chicago and worldwide at chirpradio.org. Our hosts are live and local every day of the year, curating their own shows, interacting with listeners, and sharing their musical knowledge and passions.

We also curate a number of in-person events each year, including two Record Fairs, a monthly live music showcase, CHIRP Night at the Whistler, and a quarterly live lit and music series, The First Time.

CHIRP has one professional staff member and more than 250 volunteers. We welcome new volunteers at orientations three times per year, and train them in an array of skills, from on-air DJ work to features interviewing to audio production. Volunteers lead thirteen station departments, including music, marketing, partnerships, technology, outreach, digital strategy, events, and more.

Testimonials

Shawn Campbell at CHIRP Radio was wonderful to work with. She knew what she was looking for but was open to design ideas. Communication was easy and we completed the project quickly. I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again.
